I am searching for descendants of Jacob H. Deemer (25 Jul 1802-27 Feb 1888) and Elizabeth Hartzell (18 Dec 1827-9 Aug 1867. They lived in Sec 32 of Scott Twp. and had 10 children: William A., Susanna, Anna, Thomas, Edward, Rosanna, Abraham, Sarah, Catharina, and Anna. I have a very yellowed legal page and a half of info on the Deemer's that we believe may have been typed by my husband's great-grandmother. She was Susie(Ward)Brown, daughter of Emaline(Deemer)Ward, who was the daughter of Michael Deemer, one of the 6 brothers and 2 sisters of Jacob Deemer. Not many dates are listed, but it does give married names and what we believe was probably the last known location at the time it was typed.
