I've enlisted the help of many volunteers including the ones at www.findagrave.com to find Lucy Caroline Hoge Cooley's tombstone and none can be found at Little Hopewell. She's my ggmother and the family is still looking for her headstone (if any). She died 1 month after giving birth to my grandmother.

There's also no evidence that Homer Cooley was ever born much less a headstone at Little Hopewell. My father says he doesn't exist.

If anyone can find either of these headstones or a record of their burial, please let me know. Thank you!

Hello … In the Little Hopewell Church Cemetery I counted approximately 26 unknown gravesites that were marked with just a small mountain stone or the marker was to weathered to read any longer, and while there, I also did not find a headstone for a/any Lucy Caroline Hoge Cooley or a headstone or grave for Homer Cooley … so not sure where your information came from, my cemetery list is at the bottom of the page, along with the photo’s I took, please re-check my list by scrolling down the page to the bottom.

I have logged and listed almost 50 cemeteries in this area and if there is a grave marker for an individual, I will document their name and dates as I see it on their marker. I do not prove or disprove their existence nor do I research who their ancestors were nor who their descendants are. Always check the original source material to develop your own conclusions.

All the best in your family research. G.S. BerryglenPlace@aol.com , Residence Sequatchie Co., TN

I believe my original message stated that there wasn't a headstone for either so if anyone has any information on where they are buried, I'd appreciate knowing.

I'm not sure why you sound like you're mad at me.
