Both were from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico.

My father is Firmen Colon,he was one of 6 children born to father Juan Colon, his Mother was Beatriz Colon, he had 2 brothers named Monce Colon,and Caco Colon,and 3 sisters named, Gina Colon, Nila Colon, Metra Colon who all live in Barranquitas, now in Aibonito I believe. Firmen was one of 6 siblings.
My Mother is Carmen Rivera, her father was Francisco Rivera, her mother was Isabel Vasquez Ruiz Rivera.
My mother was one of 9 children, 4 brothers named, Valentine Rivera, Sabino Rivera, Antonio Rivera, Angel Rivera, and 5 sisters Angelita Rivera, Carmen Rivera, Margarita Rivera, Gloria Rivera, Aida Rivera, all were born in Barranquitas, and all reside in U.S.A. Please keep in touch, I would like to see if I could find any of my family, especially my Father Firmen Colon, who I have not seen in over 30 years.

Go to Familysearch.org
Search under Carribean and then look up Puerto Rico. Under the Puerto Rico Civil records you will find Barranquitas. It is all Alphabetically for most towns. Look up the year closest to their birth and search. From here you can work backwards for Ancestors or forwards for any other living relatives. If not succesfull there then go to the Catholic section under either San Juan or Bayamon.
By the way, there are also Zayas-Riveras in Comerio. I have them in my line.
