Hello,

I am hoping to get in contact with descendants of Frederick Schafer. Frederick was born about 1842 in Germany and married Caroline Schafer in Monticello, Jones Co., IA. They had at least 4 children: Arthur, Charles, Peter and Frederick. The family resided in Merced County in 1900 and then removed to San Joaquin County.

Frederick and Caroline (Babbe), married 27 years. Four children, all living, with Charles, Peter T, Frederick C. in household. Arthur C working on a ranch in county. Census provides Mo/Yr of birth.

1920 census San Joaquin county:
