Your so very kind to be so helpful but I do have this info. I still would really like to get the obits just to see what it list as far as other family members.

As for the name spelling, some used Accerson, some Assarson, some Assarsson and then my mom is Acerson. Funny how it changes so much.

I think I need to get a international account at Ancestry for a month or two to find what is in Sweden. That will have to be after the release of the 1940 census since that will not be name indexed. May take more time to search family.

For original obituaries, go to the indicated newspaper. You can call your local Public Library to see if they have that newspaper available where you may be able to request a copy of the obituary be sent to you if you send a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

I'd probably start with Mesa -- the legacy version of the Republic's material does not seem to have a way to access obits that are that old.

Don't forget, of course, that the "obit" may be only a death notice, with no other information. More and more common these days.
