I am looking for information on Laura S. Kirby born 8 Jun. 1866, Daughter of Swepson Kirby and Mary Smith Hare. She had a daughter Alberta (Allie) Kirby whose father we do not know. At one time Allie lived with her Aunt Cammie. There is also a son RB (Reginald) Kirby that may have had the same father.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Laura was born in Indiana, lived in Jackson Tenn according to the 1870, 1880 census, Monroe, Kentucky on the 1900 Census, she married Kinchen Russell.

Her daughter Allie was living with Cammie and John Kirby in 1910 in Macon Tennessee.

Have you traced Alberta and Reginald through til their deaths? Do you know where and when they died?

Their death certificates, if available, might name their father.

Have you tried to find birth certificates for them as well? Where and when were they born?

I have traced Alberta through to her death. Have her bible, nothing. Her daughter is still alive and says that they never talked about it. I am working on getting a copy of birth certificate for Alberta.
I have Laura's obit and it states Reginald was from a previous marriage but his last name is Kirby, her surname.
