Sheila; the earliest Trendles buried in St. Joseph's are John "Trentle"b.1802,d.sept.21 1881, and his wife Magdalene,d.1883. they farmed in
Willoughby Township on Sodom Road, close to the existing
Queen Elizabeth highway.I believe they came, from
Baden Germany, but I can't find out if they came through Canada or the USA. Their Children would be Barbara, 1827-1902, wife of Martin Koable.
John 1840 -1919 married Elizabeth
Willick b.1848 d. 1926, and an Andrew b. 1844 died 1909. All buried in St. Joseph's.I live in Manitoba, but am returning home in 2 weeks for a visit and will plan to check with the Church for records, and will also ask
Uncle BenTrendle about the Koable connection, and the cemetary, as he knows all the roads in the area and has driven me about on previous visits. I often vist the cemetary, as my parents are also buried there. Sally..
