Nancy, please call me Cheryl (smile). I feel like we're all on the same level here doing this research. You have a diary written by Norma. Perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing some of what she wrote with me especially where it concerns the
Davis, King &
Gooding names which figure in my research.
I definitely know the names Doralize, Jack & Ethel
Ollivierre! I am so glad you contacted me because I had an unknown
Bunyan on my tree who I knew was married to Doralize. Now I can fill in the blank. Where were Vincent, his siblings and parents born? St Vincent or Barbados. I have some other Bunyans on my tree (what is the correct spelling of the name? Family members spell it in different ways). I have it spelled '
Bunyan'. All of the Bunyans I have on my tree have their roots in Barbados.
Paget Farm is not an actual farm, it is a place on the South Side of Bequia. If you are interested in knowing more about Jack and Ethel and some history on the family, please contact me directly. You can also find out more about
Gooding and
Ollivierre by going to
www.sv.usaroots.com/hazell.htm. You will find my email address and phone # there, too. If you're in North
America, please feel free to call me. I know that overseas calls can be expensive so then we can correspond by email.
I have
Owen Hazell on my tree but never knew the first name of his wife. Now I know and will update. Did you know that Owen's mother was also a
Bunyan? Her name was Emily E. but I don't know the names of her parents. Her husband was
Hamilton (Hammy)
Hazell. I recently found out that Hammy's parents were Thomas
Hazell and Angelina
Gooding. I have the names of Owen's siblings if you're interested. I do not give out any information on living persons.
Looking forward to hearing from you one way or the other.
Peace.
