Hi, I am looking for William Cox, b. 1847 Bethnal Green he was a chair maker, cabinet maker in previous census
I'm not sure who he might be living with - maybe a son: Robert, Edward, Benjamin or George. He was with another son & family in 1901 (in East Ham) but then they moved to Australia. Before that, William lived in Wanstead and Bethnal Green.
Many thanks for any assistance.

where was he living in 1901? Do you know if he was living in 1911? Was he a widower?
|
He was in East Ham in 1901. His wife died in 1897. (Cann Hall, London)
The best matches for his death are all after 1911, so yes we think he was still living for the 1911 census. We're hoping the 1911 census might lead to more info that will help sort out which death is the correct one.
The best guesses for where he was living in 1911: East Ham, West Ham, Essex, or London. thanks.

Not sure to whom I am speaking, but I have recently obtained death certificate of the same William COX a Cabinet Maker, (my Gt Grandfather). He died 29th Aug 1930 at 37 Cathall Rd Leytonstone. Informant was E.Cox his widow so after 1911 Census William had remarried. Another Descendant confirms he knew William lived in Cathall Rd until his death and may have remarried.
