Maybe you already have the answer but just in case.

On Otsego Marriage Records (LDS FHC microfilm 965766) page 23 line 43 is the marriage of GUS OLUND and MARTHA ADELINE COULTES. Marriage is held in Gaylord, Otsego, Michigan on 11 Oct 1894.

Parents of Gus are Peter A. and Charlotte OLUND. Gus was also born in Sweden.

Other notes on this message tells me that they had three children: Elmer, Irene and Margaret. Not confirmed yet.

I am just recently researching this surname along with COULTES, FRENCH and GOCHA. My original research starts with the surname KOSCIELNIAK in the Otsego County (MI) area and then tangents come off from there. I have a microfilm on temporary loan so I make the best of it by researching the tangents of my main interests and Gus OLUND was one of those this last week. Also notices that you are researching FRENCH on another Message Board. Lots of information on Rootsweb for them.

Dave, Maybe we can help each other out. I am researching the George and Margaret (Forbes) Coultes family. My Newsome family married into them. Received some information on this family from a son of Thomas Coultes that was a son of Margaret and George Coultes. Spelling of the Coultes name appears to have been Coultas in England. Also researching Widger, Hind, Sturgis, Frankart, Bala, Gocha, and Campbell that married into George and Margaret's children. If you need any of that information I could try and help. Sounds like a good plan. Click on my name on this message and it should give you my e-mail address. I have not hit a tangent to the HIND surname but I can say they look like HIUD/HUID in the records, later on the recorders handwritting gets better.

The only JOHN KOBLINSKI that I have I do not have a marriage attached to him. He was born Aug 1894 in Otsego County (MI) to George KOBYLINSKI and Frances DIPZINSKI. He can be found later in Genesee County (MI) living with his sister Helen and her husband Ben Tomaszewicz under the 1920 Census. In the 1930 Census there is a John Koblinski with a wife Frances still living in Genesee County but I have not put this into my database.

There is a JOHN KOBLINSKI in the WorldConnect database born in Otsego County earlier in 1894, probably a cousin to the one I have. Different parents are listed.
