Are there some descendants of Heinrich Meffert, born near 1869 in Irlich / Prussia? He was a gardener and emmigrated 1893 to America. I work at a documentation about emmigrants from Irlich and search infos.

I am currently working on a book about the contribution of German Americans to the development of landscape architecture in the United States. In this regard I would be interested in learning where Heinrich Meffert settled and anything you might know about his life and career.

Dear Mr. Culbertson,
I'm sorry, but I don't know, where Heinrich Meffert lived in USA and what he did there. The only thing I know is, that he emigrated in 1893. He did not stay in USA, he returned back to Germany the same year.
