Thats great that you are visiting Norway. I visited Talgje Island in 1989. I had no contact beforehand but left my name and address and family history information with some folks. After I returned home, I heard from Nils Gard who sent a good deal of family history information. I also noticed that he was named in the bygdebok as a contributor. If you go to Talgje, see the old church on top of the hill. They told me it was built in about 1150. There are headstones around the church grounds. You will also see greenhouses and I understand this is operated by my relatives in the Gaard/Gard family. Talgje is a very pretty and remote place. Have a great trip!
