Looking for Marin Rudareanu, came to US around 1916-1918and was in the lst World War. Lived in Cleveland, Ohio and had 4 children. They went by the name of Rudin. Marin had a nephew by the name of Marin Rudareanu. Marin parents names were Ioan and Mariann (Annie) that is all that I know. Maybe some of the family went to the US after but no one knows. I found Rudareanu's in US but are not related. If someone knows this family please e-mail me. I think there were some in Dolj(Rost or Rast) this is all I have to go by. Thank you.

All I can tell you is the the Rudareanu is a commun name in Oltenia- Dolj. I was born there and the village is RAST.

All this people left Romania because of the war and because of the creation of Big Romanai on dec. 1, 1918. Most likely other relatives were not able to join them later on here.
Romania's economical situation startd to be better after 1920 and peoplae were not motivated to leave anymore.
Rudar means in Oltenia Gypsy.
