I'm looking for the family of Jacob B. Smith who was born Feb. 24, 1819 in Trumbull Co. His middle name was most likely either his mother's maiden name or a family name of some sort........... it looks like maybe Brenneman? (It's in a family Bible but the writing is kind of hard to make out)

Jacob B. moved to Iowa. 1843 he married Mary Celia Fisher in Jefferson Co. In 1852 they had a son named Jacob Fisher Smith.

Jacob B. and Mary C. Smith moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1863. They are in the 1880 census there, Ward 4. Jacob B. died Jan. 10, 1900 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Council Bluffs.

I am trying to find his family..... anyone have an 1820 census with a Smith boy aged 0-5?

thanks

yes - still a dead end for me!

my guess is that the "B" is for his mother's maiden name because he used his wife's maiden name for his son .........

thanks
