If anyone has stumbled across (or does so) any information about the parents or Willis Carpenter, could you please me know. I am would prefer hard proof because we are finding a bunch of conflicting info.

The facts we know....He served in the War of 1812...moved to AL on a land bounty...after that, I haven't seen proff of anythign, so any help would be MORE than appreicated.

I am not sure. My Willis was born about 1782ish. it might be a much younger Willis in the family though. Is he from AL? What part?

Willis Carpenter Jr in Jackson County Al was one of 16 children of Willis Sr & wife Elizabeth (Bettsy) Ross. Willis Sr served in the Creek Indian War 1813 Moved to New Hope Madison County area around 1815-1816. Willis's parents unknown at this time.
