Hi
Folks,
I just found a box of old papers at a antique flea market in Fredericksburg Virgina (Home town of James & Caroline Attway).
what I have may interest you. Seems someone in the family was a ancestry buff or sleuth back in the 1930's. I didn't go through it all, it's not very organized but it is in one binder type book. It lists dates back to the 1700's. I think Elisha is the first name that come to mind along with
Issac, Lettuce?, Joseph, william john, david robert,
Harley, Gonley?, Anna, James etc... Elisha 1735 1816 Lettice
Barton died after 1820?.
Info on the 1850 census from edgefield SC. And so on.
There are corresposndence letters from what I think a cousin to the original slueth (Haven't defined who the sleuth is as of yet.lol)
In any evet I will try and put some photos of what I have found up on the web, if you ar einterested email me for the link.
Thanks and happy Tracking, kristin
