John Solomon b.1789 VA listed on 1850 Christian Co., KY census as a widower along with his children:
James Solomon(*My lineage) b.1826 VA d.after 1880
Nancy J. Solomon b.1828 VA
William Solomon b.1831 VA
Leander Solomon b.1834 KY
Anderson Solomon b.1836 KY
Martha Solomon b.1839 KY
Albert Solomon 1842 KY

I have not been able to find any other the other siblings of James on census after 1850 KY so any help would be appreciated.
Prior to that they are on the Greenup Co., KY 1840 census and then the 1830 Scott Co., VA census.

This looks to me like the family of John and Agnes SALMON. Agnes was deceased by the census you mention. Leander moves into Hopkins County where he is buried. Here is a group sheet for what I have on this family.

Obit (20 OCT 1898):
Mr. Lee SALMON, a well known citizen of Crabtree mines, died at his home last
Thursday, after a prolonged illness of many months, of stomach trouble. He was
sixty-five years of age, and leaves a wife and two children with a host of
friends and relatives to mourn his death. Interment the following day at the Odd
Fellow' cemetery under the auspices of the United Workmen, of which order he was
a prominent member. He was well known throughout the county and his death is
widely mourned. (Source: Earlington Bee, Thur., Oct. 20, 1898)

No., I guess this is not my family then and I have the wrong John Solomon.
My James Solomon b.1826 VA married to an Emily A. (lastname unknown) died after 1880.
His son Marion William is my great great grandfather.
James & Emily's children are:
Elbert M. Solomon b. 1855 TN married Martha A. Johns 1875 Arkansas later moved to Texas and settled there.
Martha A. Solomon b.1856 Texas married Lewis Johns 1872 Arkansas.
M.M. Solomon b.1858 Texas
Marion William Solomon b.1860 Texas married Elizabeth Spencer 1889 Oklahoma.
Charles Solomon b.1862
Hamith Solomon 1868 Ark. married Belton Gillespy about 1895.
Amanda L. Solomon b.1871 Ark. unmarried up to 1930.

So, I think my James Solomon is not the son of John Solomon of Kentucky then.
