I have family papers dated prior to 1905 of my wife's grandfather, who was a YI court official.Papers are in the Royal Court language(only a small portion readable by most Koreans). Can anyone suggest a source for translation into English and Hangul from within or outside South Korea?

You may able to go to Google and look for a free website that states, "Korean to English translation." That is how I get all my Spanish translation done.
Good Luck

Re: Yi Royal Family Papers
I think my wife's grandfather and great-grandfather may have been doctors to the Yi Royal Family. I would be interested if there is any mention of them in any papers that you have successfully translated.

Re: Yi Royal Family Papers
There are sites on the web that you can translate from englis to any langauge and vice or versa. I wa able to translate some document that way. Type in translate from Hangul to English or English to Hangul. Then if you have the document on the computer you can copy and paste. If you only have paper documents then you need to type the document into they system.
