Is there anyone out there with the surname of Scott in their family: current married name, ancestor's name, or distant relatives? This is an extremely challenging name to trace for African-Americans as the Scott name reaches across the world. I do believe, however, that there has to be a connection of all African-American Scott surnames, especially in light of the research I have done since 1996.

If your last name is Scott or was prior to marriage, or if you have family or friends that are African-American with the surname of Scott, please contact me. I would like to share information and swap notes. Thanks for your time and efforts. I have been up against this brick wall since 1996.

I am searching for anyone who may be connected to the Scott family of Red River County Texas who lived in the White Rock area around 1900. In 1906 a group of families including Scott, Bosan, Estes and Mims moved from Red River County Texas to the Wapanucka and Caney Oklahoma area. According to my grandfather Mims they traveled by wagon train and crossed the Red River into Oklahoma. Any help would be appreciated.
