I am looking for information on a Dan williams that lived in around welch, okla. 1934 he was brother to our grandfather Albert segel williams they had brother named Ellsworth who lived some where in western ks. these williams brothers were suppose to be from Ili. Dan williams was said to have had several children I have only one name [Lon Williams}not sure if Lon was nickname or not can any one help thanks loads Lea;

Hi,
I just saw your posting. I've been looking for information on Dan's wife,Barbara Ellen Shinkle. According to the info. I've attained, he & Ellen moved to KS. then onto OK. Daniel was b. 1863 in IL. They had 3 kids from what I've found: Fred, Leonard, and Ocee.

It is said Dan Williams will start for New Mexico Tuesday.

3-23-1911 COATS
Ace Taylor and family spent Sunday with Jake Williams and family.
Mrs. Jake Williams is on the sick list at the present writing.

8-24-1911 COATS
Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Williams sold their store and entire stock and other improvements to the Mount boys at Hollow. They will put up a large store as soon as they can get the men to go to work. They will handle a large stock of goods and pay the same price for produce they pay in Welch, which we people so far from town will appreciate.

J. Harners sold two farms near Miami last week. The old Cantrell farm to a man from Kansas City. A 160 acre farm for $8,000 also the Henrey Rocker farm at $53 per acre to C.A. Williams.

We are glad to welcome Grandpa Brenton back again. He is at his daughter’s, Mrs. Williams.
Tom Williams lost two cows last week.

10-26-1911 Catale
Lew Williams and wife went to Vinita Monday after their household goods and moved Tuesday on the W. Dick place.
Lou Williams has moved close to Catale on the Wash Dick place.
C.L. Williams and Tom Morris were in Vinita on business Saturday.

Mrs. Lodge Williams is going to buy an incubator and try raising chickens this year. We hope she has good luck.

3-21-1912 Miami
Mrs. Pearl Haworth died at her home in Miami last Tuesday night. Her death was a shock to her many friends. She had lived here the most of her life. To know Pearl was to love her. She was a good Christian, all ready to work for the church and Sunday school, and had a pleasant word for all. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Williams, wife of Earl Hawarth. All that loving ones could do to save her was done, but to no avail. It was the Master’s will. She was laid to rest in the Williams cemetery beside the little darling that was buried two days before. The little one lived only a short time. The parents, sisters and brothers and young husband have the sympathy of all in their great sorrow.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Breedlove visited at Lum Williams a part of last week.
C.P. and Claud Williams and Mr. Hollis shipped three cars of cattle on Monday.

Mrs. Ireland, Miss Gertie and Elsie Williams and Miss Ethel Hardy cleaned the school house Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Ollie Howard visited Mrs. Williams and daughters Sunday.
Isiah Hollis and Pete McCullough had a public sale selling off their houses and cattle and all kinds of farming implements. Those in this vicinity who bought were Pete Hanna, John Johnson, E.E. Hardy, Claude Williams and Mr. L____.

Mr. and Mrs. Claud Williams have a new baby girl.
Mr. Williams sent off and got a fine young sow, paid $25 for her. She got out of her pen and he hasn’t found her yet.

11-28-1912 Miami
Lon Williams lost 12 head of cattle last week by the Frisco train drove over them.
Dr. Williams was called to southern Missouri last week on account of the sickness of his mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jones will move to the Williams Home.

12-13-1912 Miami
Claude Williams has purchased two more fine Shorthorn cattle. He now has a fine bunch of them.
Miss Gertie Williams spent Sunday with Mrs. Walter Jones.

Taylor, 21, Bluejacket and Grace Leeverne Walker, 21; Jessie J. Goodman, 32, Caney, Kansas, and Nettie Dorothy Bratcher, 26, Bartlesville; Charles Tucker, 29, and Pauline Beesley, 29, both of Vinita.

A letter from her brother A.E. Williams telling of speeches by Charles Curtis and Wire Franklin at Pawhuska, has been received by Mrs. J. C. Stephens. Williams was a member of the reception committee at the Pawhuska fair.
