Simpson H. LINGLE and his wife Mary HART were both born in Indiana. Their son Joseph Elmer LINGLE was b. Sept. 12, 1869
in Clarke Co., IA and d. Feb. 18, 1935. His wife was Carrie
MILLER, b. Abt. 1873 in Clarke Co. also. They are both buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Clarke Co., Iowa. I have records for two daughters of Elmer and Carrie:
Grace LINGLE b. abt. 1894 and Ethel Marie LINGLE b. May 18, 1896. Do you know if your grandfather, Frank Russell LINGLE,
had any other siblings? Carrie MILLER was part of the large Collier clan of Clarke Co., Iowa and, if you are interested,
I can give you information on several generations of her ancestors.

I am looking for any descendents of the Lingle family, or any information.

I know there are several family members buried in the local cemeteries.

Do you have a death place and date for Carrie?

There is no death date on the tombstone of Carrie MILLER
LINGLE. Perhaps her family didn't have her death date inscribed on it, or she could have purchased the tombstone when her husband died, and then moved to another area to live with a child or other relative, and then died and was buried in that other area. She must have died after the death of her husband since his death date is on the tombstone.

My mother was Alice Marjorie Lingle-Evans, born Osceola, Iowa Nov.20, 1915 and died November 7, 1985 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
