looking for relatives of gallop - mulllings marriage. william gallop of gaultois nfld. married my gg aunt emily mullings of st. john's in 1867 in st. clements london. their children were born in newfoundland: edward(b) 1868, curtis (b) 1871, harry (b) 1873, and emily maria (b) 1870. A son charles was born 1862, ( william's son from a pevious marriage - I do not know).emily and her children were in deptford kent in 1881 - I found them in the census, emily was widowed by this time. She moved back to st. john's at some point and is burried in protestant cemetery.Any help in placing them in gallop family tree would be appreciated

I've got more iformation from the 1881 british census of depford st. paul kent : emily gallop nee mullings age 39 widowed (b) middlesex - I believe she is my gg aunt, charles gallop (b) 1862 nfld - son of william and maria, edward (b) 1868 nfld son of william and emily and marries alice trowell, curtis (b)1871 nfld, harry(b)1873 nfld and emily (b) 1870 nfld . all the children except charles were in school in england.- at some point emily returns to nfld and is burried st. john's cemetery however I can find no trace of her children either in england or nfld. the chidren you mention are from william's first wife maria

It would appear that my G G Grandmother was Emily Mullins\Mullings . It would also appear that William Joshua Gallop was married previously to someone called Maria.
This is what I know for certain. I would welcome any more information , it is complicated in that most relatives repeated the christain names through their children.

It appears that My G G Grandfather was married before Emily Mullins to Maria, (as yet no surname) It is SHE who was my G G Grandmother, not Emily.

Mandi, William Gallop married Emily Mullings at St. Clement Danes,London, on Feb. 14th, 1867. William Curtis Gallop was born in 1871 in Newfoundland. The 1881 census has the Gallop family living at 161 Manor Rd. St.Paul, Deptford;
