Careless loss of TAYLOR ancestors from Lincolnshire!

I've been very careless and have lost 7 of my TAYLOR ancestors. For years and years they lived at Wrangle and Benington in Lincolnshire, UK. Then for no particular reason 6 sons and a daughter went missing between 1891 and early 1900's.

I was lucky to find one on the Ellis Island website arriving in New York on 24 Jul 1902. His name was Sidney Matthias TAYLOR and he was going to meet his brother Lawrence TAYLOR in Chicago. My guess is that they all moved to the USA, but I cannot find them.

Here is a full list of the missing TAYLOR's. I would be very grateful if anyone has any information on them at all.

Alfred John Taylor b1871, Harold Thomas Taylor b1874, Lawrence Henry Taylor b1875,
Florence Ellen Taylor b 1877,
Alexander William Taylor b1878,
Charles Reginald Taylor b1880, (all born in Wrangle),
Sidney Matthias Taylor b1884 Hampshire, England.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thanks very much for the 1916 census info. I will investigate further, the signs are good, the age is right for Harold plus a lot of his relatives were farmers in Lincolnshire.

Do you know what the date 1910 refers to? Is this the arrival date in Canada?

Thanks again

Mike D

Hi,

Thanks for the UK census info. I have not been able to find a lot of the sons after the 1891 census apart from Clement who stayed in the UK. Just for your amusement, Clement's middle name was Septimus!

My guess is that the missing sons emigrated to somewhere. I have the clue from Ellis Island that Sidney arrived in the US in 1902 en route to meet his brother Lawrence/Laurence in Chicago. That's where the trail stops (for the moment anyway).

Best wishes

Mike D
