A memorial mass will be offered at 11 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 12, at Saint Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison, for Marie M. Pelosi Shafer of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Madison, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Scottsdale. She was 80.



Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she grew up in Madison and lived in Berkeley Heights before moving to Scottsdale 20 years ago.

Mrs. Shafer was a retail saleswoman for many years.

She is survived by a son, Robert Shafer of Muscatine, Iowa; a daughter, Suzanne Squires of Scottsdale; a brother, Michael Pelosi of Chatham Township; a sister, Suzanne MacFarland of East Windsor Township, and two grandchildren, Leigh and Dylan.

Interment is private. Arrangements are by the Burroughs, Kohr and Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, N.J. 08902.
