My husband's family has one connection with the
Carson family. His Mother was a
Brunson of SC .In "The Brunsons of
South Carolina" printed by The R.L. Bryan Company of
Columbia, SC in 1979, on ppg.43 ff.Jane Melinda

Woods Brunson was a surveyer and farmer living in
Pickens Co.,SC when he met Miss
Carson, but his family was originally a well to do family from the Florence, SC area for a couple of generations, before which they were in Edgefield District,SC and in Conn.and Mass. for a a generation after their immigration from
England in the mid 1600's due to their religious differences with the
English government.
