I have a book on Clay and Norman Counties, MN, published in 1918, which contains biographies. I would be happy to e-mail the biography of any person any of you are looking for for genealogical info. While I'm sure the Clay County Historical Society has a copy of this book, I don't know how many of you might have access to it. There are probably about 500 biographies, and there is an alphabetical biographical index.

Thank you for this offer!
Please check the index for my family names Arre and Askelson.
The more difficult one is Larson as it is so common. Ole and Susan Larson and/or Louis and Ella. How many Larsons are listed in the index?

Re: Clay County Biographies
Mr. Johnson, I saw your post and wondered if you would check the index for the surname LaPash. I am just starting on this side of the family and have a Napoleon (Paul) LaPash and his wife Lena in Moorhead, Clay County. The oldest record I have so far is 1915, but they may have settled in Clay County earlier.
They also have at least 2 sons, Morton (Martin?) and Edward.
Thanks in advance & Happy New Years!

I would appreciate your checking to see if a Lewis Larson is listed in your book.
He was part owner in a grocery store with a man named Rudser around 1885. Partnership was disolved in 1894.
He lived in Lake Park, was married to Christina Peterson, sister to Axel W. Peterson the Coffee King - Axel and his brothers worked for Lewis and Rudser.
Thanks for your help Marguerite Olson
