Looking for relatives of the McGregors who moved to the USA around the turn of the 1900's.
Robert Wallace McGregor is one of many that I'm looking for, as I think he emigrated along with bothers and sisters. He was born around 1910 in Paisley, Scotland and married a Helen Dunkie in the USA.
They has at least 4 kids, Keith, Bruce, Hugh & Janet all born between 1935 and 1942.
Not sure where the family settled, state or city.
Anyone able to help?

I’m not related to any member of this family.
1930 is the last available searchable census at this time.
1940 census has been released but it will take several months before the transcription is completed.

Hi there! :-)
I am not related to this family, but willing to help if I can. Have you found any census records or ships' manifests yet for your McGregors? What records have you found so far for Robert & Helen, or Archibald & Ann?

Hi
All I had to go on was scattered info from another distant relative.
Not sure how to look up emigration, as I am still a bit new to this. Have found a death for Archibalds son in Newberry, USA (wherewhere that is). So from that found that one sister is in Scotland and the other still in USA, not sure of his brothers.
Might think of upgrading my Ancestry to include USA records.

I think I have found some records that I copied the text from, that relate to some of your ancestors. Specifically Annie and kids Mary, Jessie, Robert & Archibald for immigration. I'll send them if you have an email address to share. :-)
Also, I have the World subscription, and I will continue to try to help you, if I can.
Have a great day!

Thanks very much.
email is

Look forward to seeing where they all went to, it will clear up some conflict of if they were born in USA or here in Scotland.
