Logan Richardson, 78, were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Alexander Funeral Home Chapel,
Wilson, with Bro. Charlie
Whitt officiating.
Born October 30, 1917, at Thackerville, Mrs. Richardson died August 31, 1996, at her home in
Wilson. She was the daughter of John Newton and Sarah Edna
Smith Pierce. Mrs. Richardson grew up at Thackerville and married Robert
Parks Richardson November 20, 1938, at Lone
Grove. The couple lived at Cheek for more than 20 years before moving to
Wilson in 1964.
She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Remington of
Madill, Marilyn Gaines of Lone
Grove and Marlene
Steele of
Oklahoma City; three sons, Johnny
Richardson and Jerry
Richardson of
Wilson, and Jimmy
Richardson of Healdton; a sister, Willie
Dugger of Gainesville, Texas; a brother, Harold
Pierce of Wilson; 14 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband on March 4, 1980; and a daughter, Joyce.
Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Thackerville, was under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home. Casket bearers wre Gilbert McArtney, Sonny
Grissom, Herman Copeland,
Haskell Arrington,
Pat Tucker and Darrell
Altom. Honorary bearers included Tom
Whitener, Andy
Walker and Chad
Arrington.
