Looking for information on Prosper Webre (Weber) who lived in Edgard, LA . Together with Rosalie Jean-Louis, they conceived my great grandmother (Theodorine Weber). My family tree stops at Prosper. I wanted to go further back if possible. Any information would be appreciated.

My dad is related to Skip Alexander, first cousin and had a brother named Prosper Burbank, whose mom was Marthe' Webre but this was in the more recent times. This Prosper, aka "Trespas" was passant blanc and had a wake at Blandit in Treme' in NOLA in the mid 70's. They are all originally form Edgard.

I went to St. Augustine High School with a Morris and Wilbur Burbank (who I knew were related to my dad's aunt Artemese (Weber)Jacobs [A.K.A. "Aunt Temeese"] - Daughter of Prosper Weber and Theodorine ("Momma Noon") Weber. I also attended Xavier University and had a class with Morris and Wilbur's sister. I can't recall her name, but I know we shared a class. I didn't realize how we were connected until I began researching my dad's side of the family tree. If you are still out there (descendant of Prosper Burbank), talk to me.

I AM ALSO A DECENDANT OF TROSPER WEBRE AND ROSALIE JEAN LOUIS. THEIR DAUGHTER MARTHA WEBRE BURBANK IS MY GRANDMOTHER AND HER SON JOSEPH IS MY FATHER. THE ONLY RECORD I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS THEIR MARRIAGE RECORD WHERE HIS NAME IS SPELLED WITH A T. HOWEVER ONE OF MARTHA SONS WAS NAMED PROSPER SO THE MARRIAGE RECORD MAY BE AN ERROR. WE ARE PLANNING A WEBRE/WEBER FAMILY REUNION IN JULY OF 2009 IN NEW ORLEANS AND I PLAN TO GO TO EDGARD TO DO MORE RESEARCH.
