Hello. It was good to hear from you. Levi and Sarah Jane's daughter, Rebecca Ellen Lantz Shaver, was my great-grandmother, and then her son, Alec Franklin Shaffer was my grandfather. My grandfather and grandmother went to visit Levi when he was 95 years old, right before he passed away, and he told my grandmother that she was a pretty girl in Dutch. Do you have record of him being Dutch? I have been interested in this side of the family tree for quite awhile. Please keep in touch!

i was recently going through a box of some of my grandmas things and found a death notice for a squire lantz. I figure he must be related somehow but im not sure. My grandmothers mothers name was bertha may lantz and her father was Jacob S lantz, i think his fathers name was david but im not positive. I have a handful of Jacobs in my FTM. Would love to have a copy of your Squire Lantz death notice. Perhaps I can find him in my unfiled notes if I have more specific dates.
Morton's book says:
Carrico arrived in 1786 on the Pulliam farm at the mouth of Wolf Creek. It is not known that their parents came with them. Of four other brothers, one settled in Culpeper, one in Charles county, Maryland, and one in Kentucky. (Morton has many errors--so beware.)

family story in WV is that our Lantz family was in the Colonies very early and came down from NY.
