I am seeking descendants of Isaac Henry
Quesinberry, b. 25 Oct 1883, d. 22 Oct 1942, son of
Lawson Quesinberry and Martha Ann
Coffey of
Rowan Co., Ky. At the time of his death, he was visiting family in
Morehead,
Kentucky, but his death certificate stated that his usual residence was Walterboro,
South Carolina.
According to census, his wife Clara was born in SC, as were both of her parents, and Isaac and Clara's eldest daughter.
1920 census of
Letcher Co., Ky,
McRoberts precinct, enumerated 13 Jan, lists as family #140/154:
Quesinbery, Isac, 37, b. Ky
Ky WVa, coal miner; Claria, wife, 21, b. SC SC SC.
1930 census of
Johnson Co., Ky,
Van Lear, enumerated 5 April, lists on pp. 10A-B as family #189/192:
Quesinberry, I. H., 46, age at first marriage 36, coal miner, b. Ky
Ky Ky; Clarah, wife, 29, age at first marriage 19, b. SC SC SC; Annie, dau, 8, b. SC
Ky SC; Jr., son, 3, b. Florida
Ky SC.
Possibly other children born after 1930.
I'm not sure Clara was born in
Colleton Co, but if she was, the only fit appears to be Clara May
Sease, age 9, listed in the 1910 census of
Braxton township,
Colleton Co.,
South Carolina, daughter of Arthur and Gertie
Sease.
Does anyone have access to
Colleton Co. marriage records from 1919-1920 who could check if there is a record of Isaac and Clara's marriage, or access to obituaries from 1942 to see if it lists survivors and their addresses?
