The only thing that I know about Albert Patterson Clement and his wife Sara Ann Bishop is that they are buried in the Boilin Springs Frist Baptist Churc Cem. They are buried near my Clement relatives, but do not know if or how they are related. So I wasn't more helpful.

Hi. I saw your post on ancestry. com. I am looking for info on Albert Patterson Clement's son Eliott Oscar Clement, who is my husband's long lost grandfather. He left the family & oral history says he "went out west". We tracked him to CA but can find no death date or location, or any details about his life once he left. Can you help? I am also interested in any other family names/dates, etc.

Debbie,
Although this doesn't mention your ancestor's name, you may be interested in the newspaper article below. The sisters are daughters of Albert Patterson Clement.

The Spartanburg Herald, Wednesday, September 14, 1938, page 3, Column 2:

Clement Sisters Meet in Reunion

Seven Members of Family Gather for First Time in Fifty Years

For the first time in almost 50 years, seven sisters, all natives of Spartanburg, met yesterday for a reunion at the home of Mr. A.S. Cantrell, 163 Pierpoint avenue.

It was 48 years ago that the seven sisters were together. Then the years brought separation until three of them were too far away to visit Spartanburg often. The intervening years found one of the sisters in China; another in California, and still another in Mississippi. Yesterday the sisters had dinner at Mrs. Cantrell's home.

Miss Lora Clement, a missionary stationed in South China, came across the world to see her family. Mrs. R.E. Bruce came from Hayward, a suburb of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. George P. White came from Hazelhurst, Miss.

The other sisters who attended the reunion were: Mrs. Cantrell, Mrs. Ella M. Cooksey and Miss Ida Clement and Mrs. R.E. White Union. Mrs. R.E. White Jr. was also present for the reunion.

The seven sisters were born in Spartanburg but left here many years ago. Their home originally adjoined the General hospital property on North Church street. Their father built the house which was moved to its present location. It was previously occupied by Dr. J. Moss Beeler, former superintendent of Spartanburg General Hospital.

Thanks for responding to my inquiry.
I am thrilled to hear from you and see the article from the Spartanburg Herald. Thanks.
I am interested in any and all of Albert Patterson Clement's children. Finding one of them may help me locate their brother Elliot Oscar Clement, who is Albert's son. Elliot left the family in GA & moved to Iowa, and then to Lone Pine CA & was basically never heard from again. We reallllly want to know when he died & where he is buried, or if he re-married. However, I will take any info you are willing to share.

My husband is Albert's great grandson. Please let me hear from you again!

Debbie

My grandfather was Delos Eugene Clement, brother of Elliot Oscar. Delos Eugene Clement and his wife, Belle Davis Clement are buried in the Due West ARP church cemetery.

I have also been curious about Elliot Oscar. I have also heard the oral history of him going "out west", that's all I know.
Please share any info you may find.

Thanks!
