I just found my grandmother's ship that she emigrated on in 1888. Her occupation is listed as TYENDE (m/k land). Anyone know what that is? Thanks, Janice

Thanks Yolanda. I am going through my grandparents church records which are completly in Danish so I do have many words that I am not sure of. It makes it even more difficult because of the handwriting. I would appreciate your help.

I am not very fluent in Danish yet, i plan to take a class at the university so that i can understand the older records of my family in the virgin island which are in Danish also. I am more fluent in Dutch Creole or Dutch. But email me and i will try to translate many Dutch Creole words had Danish roots.
