any relatives of zalar of PA please respond

My wife is a zalar relative. I have looked into her family some. She is descended from Mary Zalar daughter of Frank Zalar. I'd be glad to swap info.

I am a granddaughter of John V. Zalar II from Cleveland, Ohio. John V. Zalar was inducted to the Polka Hall of Fame in 1999. He was an avid accordian man. His father and mother are Austrian/ Slovanian. The Zalar family mainly resides in Cleveland, Ohio. John Zalar's 4 sisters are still alive. John Zalar I was born in 1886 and came to the US in 1910.

are from austria,slovina, i have an old picture
from the mother land. does anyone know how we actally got
to the states, and where the family branched off, i am the zalars from pen. that moved to florida, now i live in atlanta ga

Laura, Tootie as I knew of her, passed away yesterday. The funeral is Novemer 15 at Jean Kinley Funeral Home in Beaverdale PA. The number is 814-487-7611.

I have been reading all of these messages, and I'm related too. My Dad's (William Zalar) parents were William and Eleanor, and all the Franks, Jospehs, Dolores, were/are my aunts and uncles.
I as wondering if the Frank on here is My Dad's brother Frank from PA??

I noticed a previous post regarding Delores and Eleanor Trisch (married to Zalar's) and noticed that this post has a more recent email address. Delores and Eleanor are cousins to my grandmother, Katherine Surmick Vilga, b. 1892, d. 1961. Katherine is the daughter of Elizabeth Trisch Surmick, b. 1876, who was sister to George Trisch, the father of Eleanor and Delores.
My Vilga side has a double connection to the Trisch family through two marriages. Interested in exchanging info about the Slovakia connection and today's current Trisch's. I just returned from a trip to Slovakia where I visited the ancestral village of the Trisch's and found relatives.
