Harriet Mcdonald in 1916 prairie provinces census

Looking for info. I believe it was my husband's father (George Anderson Byers) who was boarding with Harriet Mcdonald's family in 1916 on Dunlop Street in Saskatoon. I also think it was her daughter Gertrude whom he married as his first wife's name was Gertrude Harriet. Gertrude's other siblings are listed as Silas, John, Bella (Isabelle), Grace, Katie, Bury, May. There was also a daughter named Edith. I believe Harriet was widowed at this time. All were born in Ontario. Gertrude Harriet Byers died in 1937 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Just trying to find out some of my husband's father's past. I'm also thinking Harriet's husband'
s name was John-born in Scotland. Thank you.

You believe that George Anderson BYERS - married Gertrude Harriet McDONALD
When? Where ?

May help confirm if this is the correct person.

Is the Gertrude Harriet BYERS - dcd 1937 - buried at Woodlawn Cemetery - the wife of George Anderson BYERS ?
Registration of Death -may show the names of her parents.
Obituary if Published - may show names of other family members - including siblings etc

Cheers, Stella

Hi Stella--thank you for the reply. I have seen you help many on the web and I commend you for your efforts. You are a gem.

The Gertrude Harriet Byers in Woodlawn Cemetery was the first wife of George Anderson Byers. I assume they were married in Saskatoon but when or where? George's second wife was Dorothy Mildred Byers (Hoskins) --my husband's mother. I just thought I would see if any of the Mcdonald or Byers descendants might respond before I look for birth, marrige and obituary announcements. Hopefully, something might ring a bell, but the web is a vast universe.
Gertrude was the daughter of Harriet Mcdonald and George was a lodger with them in 1916 so I believe it was
the Gertrude he married. I will keep on searching. Once again, thank you for replying and the wonderful job you do helping others in their quest.

Shirley.

Yes these are the correct parents for Harriet (Rose) McBride. I'm a William McBride & Eliza Nesbitt descendant. My g-grandmother Isabella was Harriet's sister. Let me know if you have any questions.

I am the Grandson of Silas William McDonald, whose mother appears to be Harriet McBride. I am puzzled by the different spelling of John "MacDonald"'s name. Is this an error?
