Hi I'm not getting any further in my tree and am hoping someone can help!
My grt grandmother Violet Brown married Thomas Rice in 1926 they married in london where she lived but he was from shirehampton, bristol and they moved back.He was a widower and was married to lily morgan farley(died 1922) and they had 6 children together.
* Thomas' father was James Rice and I don't know his mother's name but she was born 1855 and died 1913.
* Violet's father was Henry Brown and mother was Rosina Sarah Ann Coleman (don't have any dates or siblings?)but Henry was a "merchant seaman" and died between 1926 and 1944. Violet was born in london but registered in bristol!? I think Rosina and family lived in london?!? maybe an assumption.

hi thanks for replying i've only just come back on after reaching stalemate sorry about the delay. Although you have lots of similarities i.e rosina marrying henry,and bristol connection however i was under the impression that violet was an only child and i see you have her having many siblings, which includes your grandfather.I did meet my grandmother violet she died around 1991/2 and my aunt/her grandaughter also has no recollection of siblings. I find it strange especially since percy lived in bristol still and didn't die until 1997.However i'm also cautious to write this off as i think violet was a little bit of a "loose cannon" maybe she was disowned? I will continue to find records if you have any further info or proof it would be much appreciated. thanks

i have percy frank brown grandad cert it states henry brown ffather and rosina sa brown formerly coleman mother and checked with percys daughter and she knew a lot of the info
i also used bmd site and that also gave a lot of info also 1911 cenus. henry brown father was phillip brown mother was
elizabeth garland was his mother

rosina s a coleman father was samuel coleman mother was elizabeth withey. rosina born 15 june 1872 at wilder st.
she died 5 may 1926 henry died 7 sept 1930. i have birth death and marriage certs for them
willing to send to you.

lots of the info does match. I don't suppose Percy's daughter can remember him talking about Violet and what happened can she? There's noone left my side that i can ask unfortunately.
