In conducting my family history, I discovered that a couple of my relatives listed there place of birth as Crawfordville, Ark in the early 1900s. I cannot locate such a place. Has anyone heard of Crawfordville, Ark

Yes- it's in Crittenden county- about 10 miles west of West Memphis, Arkansas. Crawfordsville is on Hwy 64. The county seat is in Marion, and that is where you might find other information. What family are you looking for?

Yes there is such a place. I happen to live in Crawfordsville. A small quaint town of about 500 residents. Not hopping like it used to but still a pleasant place to live. So now, who are you looking for? My grandparents lived there back in the early or mid 1900s and there is a street that I'm still trying to find out if it was named after some of my distant relatives ...Sweptson. Let me know and hopefully I can help.
