Can anyone tell me anything about this family? Precious states that she is married in the 1870 census, but does not show a husband. In 1880 she is listed as a widow. Would like to find her husband's name and her maiden name. Her son, Andrew, married Mary May, daughter of Joseph May and Harriett Miller.

This may be your Henson The way Preshusus is spelled leads me to think it is. I have given you almost the whole page because it looks like the Elrod may be connected.

HI DAWN..bill horton here, yeah, they let me out of this holler once in a while....saw your post here...saw that census earlier this evening....my take on it..WILL HENSON is ELISHA HENSON's name...he was actually in the CIVIL WAR on both sides, captured by UNION, after rehab, sent to SPARTANBURG, S.C.,where he apparently deserted..and just went home...adding fuel to my theory of being native american..got lots of help from n.a.'s around SPARTANBURG RESERVATIONS...of course when he got home, he was going to tell the gov't he was there, and an indian, to boot...don't ya just know...if ya ever figger this out, be sure to let me know,ya here....
