I don't know. My great-grandmother was a Huffman from Indiana. Her great-grandfather (my 4 g's) was named Peter Huffman. He had a grandson also named Peter captured by Shawnees during what is called Pigeon Roost massacre in 1813. I don't know much about the Huffmans. Boston, Ky., (assuming there wasn't another community of the same name) is in Nelson County, but it's where Nelson, Hardin and Bullitt counties all meet, so your Mrs. Shane could have lived in any of those counties.

My relatives are descended from a George Peter and Cynthia Huffman, through son Edmond Huffman, b. 16 Aug 1824 in Nelson Co., KY, husband of Louisa Ann Rightsell, b. 9 Aug 1830, in Nelson Co., KY (?). Edmond Huffman d. 7 Sept 1900, place unknown. I would appreciate any information you could share on your Huffman ancestors.

EDMOND HUFFMAN was my gg-grandfather. His obituary is in the Greencastle newspaper of September 16, 1900 and he is buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery at Greencastle, Indiana.
Edmond Huffman's eldest son, JAMES ROBERT HUFFMAN, my g-grandfather. James Robert Huffman's daughter GOLDIE LUE HUFFMAN KISER is my grandmother.

This Peter HUFFMAN was also my 4 great grandfather. We must be "cousins" Would you like to exchange information?
