The first Family Gathering of the Magarry Family and all descendants is planned for Sept 25th 2010 in Warwick Qld.

William, Rebecca nee Boston and daughter Jane Magarry arrived in Moreton Bay from Ireland in 1853 settling on the Darling Downs. Following the tragic death of Rebecca, William married Margaret Maguigan (McGuigan) in 1875. Over the years some of the descendants of these early settlers have moved away from Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales areas and are scattered across Australia and overseas.For further details contact me through this site.

William Magarry was also my GGG Grandfather. I wish I had read these postings a bit earlier - Am bit sad to have missed the family gathering. Would love to know more about the Megarry's in Warwick. I'm descended from their daughter Elizabeth, who married Adam Wolf.
