My Great Grandfather is listed on a prayer card for my great grandmother Rose-Emma Couture (her parents are Achille Couture and Marie Audit) as Johnny Rheault. That is all I know about him. Rose died in Lac Fronntiere Quebec Canada in 1951 at age 63 and 9 months.
They had the following children I think in this order
Jeannette Married to Alphonse Lemmon
Ovila Rheault
Lionel b.1909 (my grandfather) Married Jeannette Cote 1929
Roseanna Married Real Belanger
Marie Jeanne Married Rosaire Caron

I have not been able to go as far as I would have wanted with the ancestry of Johnny. One reason being that the surname has so many variants: Rhault, Raoul, Rheault, Rault, Rau, Reau, Rho and Alexandre.

Searching with the most distant ancestor (Francois) : the use of his wife's name (Genevieve Richard) did not help. This is not a name that has variants or at least not that many.

I suspect that the Francois got married in New Brunswick.

Johnny Rheault married Rose-Emma Couture (D.o. Achille and Marie Audet, 26 Jun 1906, St-Léon-de-Standon

Thank you so much. I had gotten a little of that information from another message board but the information about Ovila and Germaine is greatly appriciated. My Mother had met Germaine but could not remember her husbands name.
I think that the info on my Pepere is not available because he moved back to the US and married my Memere. Also he died suddenly at 45 only 6 days after my parent were married.
But again thank you so much this is really helpful. The whole family will be thrilled.
