Leonard Raymond Frechette
I am researching my Uncle Leonard. He was born in Martinton, IL. At the time of his death, he lived in Flint, MI. Betty [Don't know her maiden name.]was wife at the time of his death.//His nickname, in the family, was Bunny.//During his working years, Leonard ran a business dealing in used restaurant supplies.//His daughter, Jeanne Hinote, ran a dance studio in Flint, Mi.

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
Your name looked familiar. My cousin, Michelle, had a lot of your information when that branch of the Frechette family had a reunion.//Do you have Marie's Maiden name? Better yet. Do you have any details about Aunt Betty?//She was a frisky gal who I only knew as "Aunt Betty" [When you are a kid, what more do you need?]//I was planning on going up to Flint to research Uncle Bunny (Leonard); but our plans changed. Would that be a worthwhile trip?

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
Sorry I do not have any more info on Marie or Betty, wish I did. There is a Betty listed in the Social Security Death index that might be the correct Betty. Born 18 Sep 1926 and died 28 May 2000 last benifits were in Kankakee, Kankakee, IL and she got her SSAN in Illinois.

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
This is frustrating. Whereas there might be a Betty in the SSN Death Index, I doubt she would have been in Kankakee. Uncle Bunny (Leonard) and Aunt Betty rarely came to Kankakee or Illinois period. The only one who came to the Chicago area was Uncle Bunny. He was in Chicago to attend bridge tournaments. This family's info is sure ellusive. What info/details do you have on his daughter, Jeanne? I have her listing in the SSN death index. When I sent to the county I thought she died in for her death certificate, she said she didn't die there. [They must have transported her back to Genessee County, Michigan.] Also, when I sent to Kankakee County, Illinois, for her birth certificate, the same reply came back. This is frustrating. Got any ideas on where to find the specifics on Jeanne. [I'm hoping that on one of these documents I will get more information about her parents.] Looking forward to hearing from you. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
No I sure do not have anymore info on Jeanne. Have you considered sending off for her SSAN records. I have had some good luck with these records.

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
No, I haven't. Didn't know you could?
Re: birth records. Could I also send in a request to the Census Bureau for these since I have no idea what state she was born in.
You are a font of information. Any other places to write for information directly?

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
I looked up SSAN and got some search engine site. Could you tell me what you are referring to with the term, SSAN? Also, would it be possible to talk directly (via e-mail). If you are willing, I will give you my e-mail address.

Re: Leonard Raymond Frechette
My name is Barbara Atkinson and I live in New York City. I studied dance with Jeanne Hinote and my Mother and I were friends of hers.
We knew Betty. Her last name was Burgess. Jeanne, my Mother and I had lunch with Betty at her home in Flint many years ago.
Hope this helps you with your ancestry search.
