I am looking for the ancestors of Charles & Emily Barden (nee Brown). I believe they had a son called Charles Alfred Barden who married a woman named Olive, ( not sure of her maiden name). They then had twins Charles & John Barden who married Marian & Miriam (respectively) and I believe the family may have lived around the Heathfield area and possibly still do. I have been at this dead end for quite a while now & if anyone could help to shed some light for me I would be greatful. Thanks

Do you know if Emily may have been the mother of Eric and Douglas Barden, both deceased and born in the 1920s, probably in Ticehurst? Eric later moved to Lamberhurst and Douglas to Robertsbridge.

If so, I think Emily may have later lived in Swan Cottage on Lamberhurst Down until her death - in the 1950s?

I am Eric Barden's son, also at a dead-end!
