I have my 2nd Great Grandfathers Civil War Records. He lists his place of residence Mooney, Indiana in the county of Jackson. Does Mooney, Indiana still exist? If not, what is the name of it now? Thank you!

Mooney was a small crossroads in Western Jackson County. It and Goss Mill were beween Clearspring and Medora, IN. There was a post office at Mooney but little else. you might check Owen and Carr twp. for information.
