Shelbourne. Some time after 1892 she died and he married her sister Maud. They immigrated to US around1900. Sarah was related to Oldshrager(sp) family. My GGaunt Emma Arnold lived in that area until 1955-1960. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks. Janet C.

Hi Janet - I realize this posting is very old, but I wanted to respond anyway. I think we're related! My great grandfather is Frank King Arnold from Peterborough (grandfather is Walter Arnold). Thomas Shelbourn I believe is Sarah's/Maud's father, was a Crimean war veteran, took a Russian sabre to the knee. Anyway, let me know if you get this message and want to chat.

Best,

Jason

Hi Jason, ,
You are my 1st cousin once removed says Ancestry. I don't have much on your branch of the tree, like birth dates etc, but your Dad was Johnathan Arnold, correct ?? I am in contact with Valerie Fouldain on Facebook, but no one else of that generation. Peter and Phebe Arnold are both gone and I never had any contact with your Dad. Do you have a tree on Ancestry ? If you wish, I can invite you to my Tree which is Private and wanders all over, but I have much of the Arnold family.
Glad to hear from you. BTW, do you have the Tom Thumb model ? I loved that as a child and know it went to Walter.
Best, Janet Mahoney Corcillo

Hi Janet - I saw this post was so long ago and didn't expect a response honestly! I didn't get an email response that the link had a response or I would have responded sooner, sorry! Nice to meet you via email - the internet is amazing! Yes, my father is Jonathan H. Arnold - born March 22, 1946, Walter and his wife Ella's youngest child. Yes sadly my father passed away from cancer when I was 15 (1992, he was just 46) while Phoebe and Peter have also passed (Peter about 2 years ago, not sure when Phoebe passed but at least 5-6 years ago), while Geoff is still living as far as I know, but doesn't stay in touch.

I don't have a tree on Ancestry, but would love to be added to yours - I also have a number of odds and ends of documents that you might find interesting - recently was at my mom's house and dug up a letter from Beulah to Walter about some of our family, and one from Leah as well, Frank King's naturalization certificate, a letter from Frank's sister Emma about the prior generation, and one of my favorite's is a photo of Thomas Shelbourn in a kilt! Happy to send you pictures I took of each. I do have the train model - it sits in an esteemed place on a just told my wife and she is amazed! Happy to stay in touch with you via email as well - our email account is bsriga @hotmail.com. Shoot me an email and I'll give you the rest of our contact info. Again, wonderful to meet a relative so thanks for responding!

Best,

Jason

Hi Jason, I would like to see a copy of the naturalization certificate and the letter from Emma. I remember the train and where it sat in Grandpa's living room. You don't remember me, I spent a lot of time with your Brother when we were young. Would like to hear from you and I need your Mom's phone number, the one I have is old. My Mom Phebe passed on November 30 2009. Uncle Buff finally moved out of the apartment last year - practically across the street. I'm sure he would like to hear from you ( says nobody gets in touch with him ) I'm trying to do research on Great Grandpa's Bread Wrapping Machine. my email is mommy222@juno.com
