Hello. Someone wrote me early this morning and asked for information on a PARKER / BOYNTON couple. It turned out to be partly a PARKER mystery and partly a KIDDER mystery. I am descended from both, but KIDDER is my main research. I am not related to the above couple, but am just trying to help the researcher out.

It appears that Nathaniel BOYNTON, b~1694 Rowley, MA, was in Billerica or Chelmsford, MA, in the 1720's and 1730's (or Westford which annexed off of Chelmsford). He reportedly married Hannah PERMAN? in 1720 and Elizabeth SHEDD in 1735. (Taken from LDS site)

He had a daughter, Mary (Polly?) BOYNTON, born in 1737?, reportedly in Westford, MA. Mary married (Capt.) Joshua PARKER around 1764 in Westford. They had from one to four children born in Westford during 1760's.

However several researchers have the children born in NY State. It seems that Joshua and Mary PARKER did move to NY State, but I don't know when. It also seems that Mary died soon after 1770, as Joshua reportedly remarried in 1774 probably to Mrs. Hannah KIDDER. This might have taken place in Genesee Co., NY.

Joshua reportedly died there in 1835, in a town just south or Rochester, NY. But, on the LDS site, there is a LOT of conflicting information about this man and his family. This is especially true for his son, Joshua PARKER, who was reportedly in Upstate NY, NYC, and MA .. at the same time.
:o(

What the researcher is looking for is .. Who was Miss or Mrs. Hannah KIDDER? There were KIDDER families in NY, but along the MA / CT borders in the early 1700's.

Did Joshua & Mary (Boynton) Parker have a daughter named Mary (Polly) Parker? Birth date taken from gravestone as 23 April 1751. Which makes mother Mary (Boynton) Parker born in 1737, only 14 when daughter was born. Daughter Mary had a brother Samuel. Source is "Mother Says" so is Samuel one of the unnamed children? Daughter Mary Parker married Joseph Merritt. Both Joseph and Mary (Parker) Merritt are buried in the Merritt Settlement Burial Grounds in Smithville, Ontario, Canada. I just got back from 5 days in Canada and I visited Joseph & Mary's graves. While there I came across some information that said that Mary & Polly are twin sisters. But nothing to prove it so far.
Joyce There seems to be to many Mary Parkers.
