I am looking for the children of Rik van Brummelen and Jannetje Kroon from Nijkerk, Gelderland. I searched Genlais.nl and I have found eight children who died before the age of two, one son (Harmen, my grandfather), and four daughters (Willempje, Pietje, Willemina, and Jannetje) by their marriage records.

There were a total of 21 children so I am missing information for eight remaining children who I think are probably sons that I can't track through marriage records. Nijkerk does not have any birth records available via Genlias so I'm stuck.

I would appreciate any information - I have tried every kind of search I can think of and I can't find these brothers anywhere in the Netherlands.

Did the family cross the pond ?? If so maybe some children were born elsewhere ........Maybe records are just not available for other children..What is the last borthyear you have ??

Rik van Brummelen, geb. 1859 te Nijkerk (GE), zoon van Harmen van Brummelen en Gijsbertje Plas
Gehuwd 23 feb 1887 te Nijkerk (GE) met:
Jannetje Kroon, geb. 1866 te Putten (GE), dochter van Pieter Kroon en Willempje Kraaijenhof

They did not even marry7 till 1886......If they stayed in the Netherlands it is unlikely records are available for the time frame you are seeking. If they crossed the pond you should be able to find them...

No, they didn't cross the pond, just my great-grandfather (Harmen van Brummelen) and his wife (Jacoba Zoet). Harmen was the oldest, got married on 30 May 1912 and arrived in America on 11 Jul 1912. The rest of the family stayed in the Netherlands.

I don't know any of the names besides what I found on Genlias.nl and Gelders Archief. My grandmother is 94 and she can't remember any of their names.

Any help or advice you can give me is most appreciated.

Technically the birth records are online but only the scans of the original records, it would have been do-able to find the records if they came with a yearly index - but it doesn't look like there is one for births in Nijkerk. The original scans are available on familysearch.org

birth records for Nijerk are contained therin for the People the person is lookimg for...If these people are not on Genlias or Gelders archief it is unlikey they would be oon images from family search.
