I am looking for info on my g-grandfather Albert (Shorty ) Anderson. He came from Sweden and married Lula Allen in Ca. in 1907. They lived and farmed in the Oakley area for most of the rest of their years with their 3 sons Albert, Vaness,& Ray. He died 8/8/1949 in Burley. Iwould like to know of any info on him.
Thank You

Hi, Was just visiting this last week with Tom Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho. He is interested in finding out something about his grandfather Albert "Shorty" Anderson. He told me that "Shorty" was very young when he came to America as a stowaway with his two brothers. They became separated when they jumped ship and were never reunited again. Shorty came to the West but was unable to find anything out about his brothers--I visited his grave, he was born 1873 and died 1949. His three sons are all deceased. Tom is a son of Albert Jr. If you can help with anymore info, please notify me. I lived as neighbors of Tom for years before he moved to Pocatello. Thank you for any future help.

I know of Tom Anderson he is my moms cousin. My mom is Vaness's daughter. She & her sister looked years ago for info on their grandfather and didn't find much. I have been looking for 2 years and have found him on census in Idaho but only when he is connected to my g-grandmother. I do have the census records although and wouldlike to share that info with anyone who wants it. Does Tom have a email address? You can tell him that I am Lu Ann's daughter.
Thanks,

I don't know if they have an email at home. Tom's wife has an antique store and I think she has one there but I don't know it. I do have his cell phone but hate to put it out over the internet. If you want, you can email the census info to me and I will see that he gets it. Do you have the home town in Sweden that Albert "shorty" came from? Tom told me that he thought that someone in the family had found it but he didn't know what it was. I will be going to the FHL in Salt Lake this winter and I would be glad to look up any records that are in his home town, if you have it. Thanks for answering.

I don't know the town in Sweden where he came from but I would love to talk with Tom. I can get his phone number from my mom. Are you a cousin of his? I know Aunt Ora was a Martin. I have a bunch of papers that I can mail him with different census on them. I t would be easier that way. I appreciate you taking time to answer me. I didn't know my g-grandfather although I knew Albert Jr. & Ora well.
Thanks

ONE OF THEIR DAUGHTERS IS CAROLYN TAYLOR (NO LONGER MARRIED) BUT STILL IN BURLEY I BELIEVE. IF I CAN BE OF FURTHER ASSISTANCE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
