Does the Spanjer Cemetery still exist? If so, is it still an active cemetery?

I've looked through the lists of Adams Co. Cemeteries on USGenWeb and WAGenWeb and didn't find Spanjer listed. However, that just means it's not on those two lists.

You can send a email to the Adams County Historical Society, info@adamscountyhistoricalsociety.com and ask them. Hopefully they'll know if it was an old cemetery that got a new name; an old cemetery that was closed and where the interred were moved to; didn't exist in Adams Co, etc.

The Spanjer Cemetery is now known as the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.

A number of internments found for the Spanjer in old records were found in the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. I would not believe they had been moved, although that is possible.

Thanks for your response. I'm glad you mentioned the Adams Co Historical Society. I've gone to their website and am very much enjoying the old photos there. It gives me a better idea of what it was like when some of my relatives were pioneers there.

I appreciate your response and, having looked into it since my original post here, you are correct about Spanjer now being Ritzville Memorial.

Thanks for the address of the Danekas Funeral Home. That will probably come in handy as I dig further into relatives who lived and died in that area.
