The word “beta” has evidently been pulled from the site name, try
www.familysearch.org
After getting to the site, click “sign in” in the upper right to register.

SLOW READ...but WORTH the time--allow yourself TIME!!... You have to get accustomed to the handwriting...and ALL the words....and you eventually figure out where the names will be...I only found 1 index so far....BUT I did FIND an uncle FREDERICK VESPERMAN..connected to my GGGgrandmother Elizabeth Fesperman/VESPERMAN WINCHESTER. AND a possible connection (which I have had suspicions for years) between AMOS STILES-John BRAZZEL...connected to the WINCHESTER INGLES families...coming from TN..before arriving in Calhoun Co. 1830's...

I'm glad that you got on the site. It takes a while to figure out how to use it.

I just did a quick look at the Calhoun Co. records.

All the Probate books seem to be indexed except "J". The indexes are at the beginning. Will bk "A" is 2 books -- index in 1st book only.

it is important to look through the WHOLE thing....therre will be names especially when estate is being sold to clear debt that would NOT be found on census.....but yet you KNOW the person was there
